Description
A Spanish handmade glazed porcelain figurine depicting a young girl in a long white dress embracing a doll. The girl features flowing light brown hair and a full-length white gown decorated with an impressed lace-like floral pattern at the hem and bell-shaped sleeves. She holds a rag doll characterized by blue hair, a light blue dress, and dark blue shoes. The underside of the base features several marks: a printed square logo containing a stylized sailboat above the word NAO in stylized script and the phrase HAND MADE IN SPAIN. To the left of this logo is a smaller printed mark reading by LLADRÓ and © DAISA 1989. The base also contains impressed markings, including a small circular vent hole, the number 51, and a partially legible impressed character resembling a B. Research identifies this model as number 1107, titled Were Sleepy.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. The delicate areas, including the girl\'s fingers and the doll\'s hair, appear intact (photo 1). The glazed surface maintains a consistent high-gloss finish throughout (photo 2). The printed and impressed marks on the underside are clear and legible (photo 3).
