Description
A collection of English fine bone china decorative miniatures produced by Royal Albert in the Old Country Roses pattern. This set features the characteristic transfer-printed motif of burgundy, pink, and yellow roses with green foliage, accented by stippled and brushed gold gilding on the rims and highlights. The collection includes a pair of miniature high-heeled shoes with molded floral vamps and gold-gilt toes and heels; a miniature fluted vase with a ruffled rim and a pedestal base; and a miniature basket featuring a twisted rope-style handle and a flared, ruffled rim on a pedestal base. The underside of the footwear bears a printed backstamp featuring a small rose motif above the text Old Country Roses, ROYAL ALBERT, BONE CHINA, ENGLAND, followed by the copyright mark and 1962 ROYAL ALBERT LTD. This mark confirms the items as authentic English bone china from the manufacturer’s most recognized pattern line.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. The floral transfer prints remain vibrant and intact across all pieces (photo 1). The gold gilding shows the characteristic stippled application of the pattern with no significant losses or rubbing visible on the rims or decorative elements (photo 2). The base of one shoe shows a minor amount of expected shelf wear to the unglazed foot ring (photo 3). No chips, cracks, or professional repairs are visible in the provided images.
