Description
A set of eight Portuguese hand-painted ceramic napkin rings. Each ring is fashioned as a textured, light brown or cream-colored vine or branch that forms the circular holder, accented by green leaves. The set features a variety of three-dimensional fruit motifs, including strawberries, apples, oranges, grapes, and pears, each decorated with a vibrant, multi-tonal glossy glaze. The underside of one ring features a black printed mark arranged in two lines reading HAND PAINTED and MADE IN PORTUGAL. A small, circular firing vent is visible on the underside of the fruit sections, which is a standard feature of hollow-molded ceramic forms.
Condition report:
The set is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs observed in the provided photographs. The glaze remains bright and glossy across all pieces. A small circular hole on the underside of the fruit (photo 5) is a functional firing vent and not a defect.
