Description
A hollow-cast glazed ceramic figurine depicting a standing Labrador Retriever. The dog is modeled in a four-square stance, looking forward with its head turned slightly toward its left side. The body is finished in a glossy golden-tan glaze with cream-colored accents on the lower legs, muzzle, and chest. Hand-painted facial details include black pupils and irises, a black nose with stippled whisker spots, and a thin black line defining the mouth. The underside of each paw features a circular kiln vent hole typical of hollow-cast earthenware. There are no visible maker marks, backstamps, or country of origin marks on the base or body of the figurine.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. A small dark surface inclusion or firing spot is visible on the left flank (photo 1). Minor shelf wear and darkening are present on the unglazed rims of the vent holes at the base of the paws (photo 2).
